Transitional Housing 

​Kairos Faith Sisterhood and Champions is in the process of acquiring a dedicated home to serve as a residence for young women ages 13-17. We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where these young women can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.

 

Our Aspirations for the Residence:

- Spacious Kitchen: A communal area where residents can learn to prepare healthy meals, fostering culinary skills and a sense of community.

- Shared Beauty Salon and Pantry: A dedicated space stocked with hair care products and accessories, where volunteer hairdressers can create stylish looks that boost self-esteem. We will collaborate with professional stylists to offer hair styling classes, ensuring a lasting impact on our residents’ confidence.

- Laundry Room and Bathrooms: Equipped with two bathrooms featuring showers, providing essential amenities for comfort and hygiene.

- Sister's Closet: A thoughtfully curated collection of professional attire for job interviews and special occasions, empowering young women to present their best selves.

- Recreational Space: A vibrant area for arts and crafts, as well as computer activities, encouraging creativity and skill development.

- Cozy Living Room: A warm and inviting space for residents to unwind, connect with one another, and foster friendships.

- Spacious Backyard: An outdoor area ideal for social events, providing a setting for community-building and relaxation.

- Quiet Room: A tranquil space designated for yoga, meditation, or reading, promoting mental wellness and self-care.

- Bedrooms: Personal spaces where each resident can store their belongings, promoting a sense of ownership and privacy.

This home will serve as a transitional residence designed to prepare individuals for independent living. Graduation ceremonies will signify readiness for independent living after completing our transition program, marking a significant milestone in their journey.

To ensure personal growth, participants will be required to attend school or job training and engage in scheduled events. Every experience at KFS&C is thoughtfully designed to nurture individuals, guiding them toward personal development and empowering them to thrive in their future endeavors
